  • First day of Dhul Hijjah – Friday, 02-Aug-2019
  • First day of Hajj (the 8th of Dhul Hijjah) – Friday, 09-Aug-2019
  • Day of Arafat (the 9th of Dhul Hijjah) – Saturday, 10-Aug-2019
  • Eid Al Adha (the 10th of Dhul Hijjah) – Sunday, 11-Aug-2019

Note: These dates have not yet been confirmed by the authorities in Saudi Arabia

  • First day of Dhul Hijjah is Sunday, 12-Aug-2018
  • First day of Hajj (the 8th of Dhul Hijjah) will be on Sunday, 19-Aug-2018
  • Day of Arafat (the 9th of Dhul Hijjah) will be on Monday, 20-Aug-2018
  • Eid Al Adha (the 10th of Dhul Hijjah) will be on Tuesday, 21-Aug-2018

On a somber note, this post provides a guide of how to perform the Funeral prayer. You might be surprised to find out that if you are on Hajj there might be a Funeral prayer after nearly every Fard Salah so it is important to know how to perform it correctly. A quick note – there appears to be different ways of performing the Funeral prayer. The aim of this guide is to present how the Funeral prayer is performed in Makkah & Madinah, Ref [1]. Please check & confirm with a scholar. (There is also a nicely formatted pdf at the end of this post that you can download and print)
