Hajj is a Pilgrimage to Makkah.
It is a journey required at least once in a lifetime for every able Muslim male and female contingent on a number of pre-requisites including physical and financial means & ability.
Hajj is a great spiritual journey. But what does it mean practically?
Essentially in a nutshell Hajj is,
- Being at certain places (in a specific order)
- At certain times (on specific dates)
- And performing certain specific acts of worship, rituals and rites
- Linguistically – Hajj means ‘Intent‘
- Legally – Hajj means Intending Makkah & Mashaair for specific rites during a specific time period in worship to Allah

I can’t believe how quickly time has flown. Sorry for not posting for a while – we’ve been really busy working on some new projects for everyone. The main one is an exciting Hajj (& Umrah) course which covers all the basics. Though it’s not quite finished yet, will be releasing a sneak peek in the next couple of weeks inshAllah. So stay tuned, lots of new posts to come real soon.
In the meantime, wanted to share a photo I took of “The Heavens” (stars) a while back. Really reminds me of the magnificence and beauty of Allah the Almighty’s creation. Subhan Allah!!! Hope you like it.
PS – You may have noticed some of the links on the site are not working. Unfortunately Dropbox (where some of the files are stored) is changing the way it allows sharing, so apologies for any inconvenience – we are working to update everything as soon as possible. But if you are trying to access any of the material and receive errors, please let us know via the contact page (or just leave a comment) and we will get it fixed for you.
You may have noticed a new Header image at the top of this page 🙂
I was lucky enough to visit the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi and found this beautiful wall (floral) mural. As it is cropped quite a bit in the Header above, I thought I would share a fuller image with you. Hope you like it …
Sorry have been offline for a while – the past months has been so very busy. But I have been working hard on new material, which I hope (inshAllah) to release real soon 🙂 But in the mean time, let me share one of the projects I have been working on – as you may know I create my own Cover Art, which is embedded into each audio (mp3) file released by this site. Here is a sample of the latest cover … Alhamdulillah!
I love Islamic Patterns and their geometrical intricacies – the new series of Cover Art that I am working on, is inspired by this beautiful art form.
So stay tuned and you should start seeing this (& more) in some of the mp3 files soon.
Some of my other Cover Art images can be found in one of my earlier posts here
Can you believe how fast time is flying 🙂 I have been meaning to post a lot more recently but just haven’t had a chance 😉 … but inshAllah will start releasing some more posts real soon.
In the meantime have added a new image in the Banner above – this is an old slide that I had taken a while back of a beautiful mosque. Hope you like it … as it is cropped above, here is the original image.
Wishing you and your family a wonderful Eid Al-Adha.
