111. Al-Masad

Translation

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
1 Abu Lahab’s hands will perish and he too will perish.
2 His wealth and that which he will earn will not help him in the least.
3 Soon he will burn in a fire of blazing flames,
4 And his wife, a carrier of fire-wood,
5 Will have around her neck a twisted rope of palm fiber.
